ED2 may also be used for protection of both mono and duo-filament synthetic turf and both sand and rubber in-fill fields. Our systems have been used on all types of synthetic turf from multiple manufacturers including FieldTurf, Sportexe, Astroturf, and others.
We understand how synthetic turf is manufactured and have designed our systems to minimize wear, surface abrasion, surface and base compaction, and contamination of the turf and the infill as a result of attendee traffic. Underside channels are contoured to eliminate sharp edges.
Each EventDeck module incorporates drainage, air ventilation, and bi-lateral cross ribbing for effective weight distribution. These features make EventDeck the leading stadium flooring system worldwide.

An entire 80,000 sq/ft (7,432 sqm) stadium can be deployed in 5-6 hours with about 20 people and can be removed in about 5 hours using 16 people. This rapid turnaround time enables EventDeck portable flooring to be deployed closer to the actual event time, further minimizing the potential for grass damage.
EventDeck’s individual modules are pre-assembled at the factory into roughly 3ft x 4ft sections, which are easily transported into position by a single person, speeding installation time and providing ease of handling.
With the use of our industry leading Expansion Joint installation can occur in multiple areas simultaneously, further speeding installation. This secondary benefit to the ED X (expansion joint) allows for large flexibility in crew size and a generally easier installation process.

The EventDeck 2 system is designed to be easily deployed without tools and is completely expandable and configurable as required on-site. Pre-assembled sections pack compactly and efficiently for easy transport and storage.
Each EventDeck temporary flooring module connects using a unique inter-module connection system that enables tiles to be snapped into place in both directions and allows larger sections to be transported as a single sheet or panel.
Each specially designed connector T utilizes a unique tubular design that serves as both a connector and a fully functional hinge. This system allows the entire system to contour to the field as needed to accommodate “crowned” fields and other surface imperfections or variations or to be rolled as needed.
Signature’s proprietary floor design enables EventDeck to be positioned using ones feet only, eliminating the need to bend over, use hands, or any employ any tools.
Each individual flooring section is gently curved on the male connector side and correspondingly curved on the female side, such that when a section is butted up against another, it may be nudged into place easily and will self-position. Once positioned connectors are lined up and ready for snap down connection. This industry leading feature proves invaluable for stadium sized installations and saves labor, time, and effort.

All plastic flooring materials will expand and contract during fluctuating temperature conditions. This phenomenon of thermal expansion is a result of the nuclear expansion within the plastic and is a natural property of all plastic materials (and many other materials as well). In plastic modular floors, expansion can result in floors warping, buckling, disconnecting or otherwise becoming uneven.
For outdoor synthetic turf fields, the need for an expansion joint module is even more pronounced as synthetic turf does not dissipate heat as effectively as natural turf and traditional black rubber turf infill can absorb additional heat. It is not uncommon to measure surface temperatures of up to 125 degrees F on 85-90 degree sunny summer days.
Only Signature Flooring’s EventDeck offers an engineered expansion joint module to accommodate the thermal expansion that can occur during varying temperature on synthetic turf. Like an expansion joint in a bridge, building, or highway, the EventDeck expansion module is designed to accommodate natural expansion.
Until the development of the EventDeck Expansion Module (ED-XJ), event managers, concert promoters, stadium managers, groundskeepers and others involved in the production of concerts or other on-field events simply had to accept the inconvenient condition of thermal expansion at outdoor events as unavoidable.
With ED-XJ, organizers can feel comfortable knowing that the EventDeck system will be able to handle temperature fluctuation throughout the day and night, avoiding potential warping or buckling and giving you the peace of mind that an engineered solution is in place.

EventDeck portable flooring was specifically engineered to provide optimal synthetic grass and turf protection during your on-field events and to minimize wear and tear. |

For synthetic turf protection each ED2 module incorporates: |
|
| |
|
|
| |
| |
- Bi-lateral ribbing for greater structural stability and infill shift prevention.
- A unique rib pattern design that minimizes concentrated surface contact and prevents matting of the turf.
- Cross-module drainage channels to prevent water buildup (allows normal field water flow and drainage during rainy conditions).
- No large circular support pads (avoids deep depressions and patterns in the field and infill post removal).
- Integrated ventilation between sections and throughout the system (proper ventilation helps prevent mold, fungus, and other bacteria from propagating).
- A solid surface without holes keeps contaminants off of your turf and out of your infill.

Simply brush your synthetic grass after floor removal and unlike older floors it will be nearly impossible to see any distinguishable pattern resulting from the floor installation. EventDeck 2 temporary flooring is designed to prevent shifting of infill and of the flooring. |

Each EventDeck module is manufactured using a high quality co-polymer plastic material that has a high izod impact value and specific no-break characteristics. A 5-year UV package is incorporated into the material formulation to prevent brittleness over time as a result of sun exposure. High ethylene content provides flexure and prevents cracking.
Connector tabs are specially designed with some flexure to prevent tab/connector breakage and to allow for rapid connection and breakdown.
As a result of Signature’s quality material formulation each EventDeck floor is able to resist the rigors of regular use and will not break, crack, fade or become brittle. It has proven itself worldwide in all climates and conditions.

EventDeck has no submerged channels into which food, debris, cigarette butts, or other troublesome garbage can be lodged. Each section has an anti-slip sandblast finish that is easy to clean using a mop and is elegant and attractive. EventDeck portable flooring has no unsightly patterns to catch dirt and as such is the lowest maintenance system available. |

ED2 has no submerged channels into which food, debris, cigarette butts, or other troublesome garbage can be lodged. Each section has an anti-slip sandblast finish that is easy-to-clean using a mop and is elegant and attractive. EventDeck has no unsightly patterns to catch dirt and as such is the lowest maintenance system available.
Each ED2 module is similar to EventDeck 1, except that there are no drainage/ventilation holes. This provides additional protection for synthetic turf and prevents dirt and debris from going through the floor.
This feature is important as synthetic turf fields cannot regenerate like natural turf fields and cannot absorb and break down waste and other materials like natural turf.
