DuraDeck is Signature’s solution to ground protection where heavy duty equipment is expected. From large forklifts to 18 wheel trucks and from heavy staging to generators, DuraDeck is designed to handle the heavy weights associated with concert move-ins, large scale event productions, and stadium construction.
DuraDeck is an easy to deploy 4ft x 8ft panel manufactured from solid high density polyethylene. It has an integrated connection system that connects in all directions and can handle the tremendous torque of turning equipment. Each 86 lb sheet can support up to 80 tons over most surfaces and has a unique traction surface molded directly into the panel.

DuraDeck is ideal for heavier duty applications than Signature’s EventDeck, UltraDeck or HexaDeck turf protection systems and is designed to take grass protection to the next level.
Because of DuraDeck’s unique construction and specialized plastic formulation it can be used for a variety of heavy weight applications including concert move-in, back stage areas, construction projects, and other stadium related applications. DuraDeck mats are designed to support up to 80 ton vehicle weights and will both stay rigid enough for ground protection and flexible enough to prevent breakage or brittleness.

DuraDeck comes in standard 4ft x 8ft sections, but is available in 2ft x 8ft sections and 3ft x 8ft panels as required. Sections can be interconnected with one another to form nearly any size roadway, compound, or pad and are sized to correspond with traditional “road ply”, which nearly every concert promoter is familiar with. |

DuraDeck ground protection is available with multiple surface patterns depending on the specific needs of the user. For standard concert applications, panels are available with a pedestrian friendly traction surface on one side and a more rugged traction surface on the other (DD2). Panels may be flipped and used on either side, depending on the application. For more specialized uses, DuraDeck is available with a pedestrian surface on one side and a smooth surface on the other (DD4). This style is suitable for fine turf such as can be found at cricket ovals and to protect tracks, aggregate, and other specialized surfaces. For construction projects, DuraDeck may be purchased with a rugged double-traction surface on both sides (DD1). |

Each quality DuraDeck panel is manufactured to the highest exacting standards and is subjected to Signature’s rigorous quality control methodology. This means that when you get a DuraDeck panel, you can feel confident that it will handle your heavy loads and provide the support you require.
DuraDeck protective panels are actually molded as a single, solid sheet of plastic, versus other systems that have honeycomb innards or ribbed supports. This means that DuraDeck has no weak points and will be able to flex without breaking. This solid construction separates DuraDeck from other systems that rely on a honeycomb or other design for strength.
While Signature Flooring understands the benefits of honeycomb and ribbed designs for heavy duty applications, our company believes that nothing beats a solid molded panel in terms of strength and the ability to handle torque and bending.

DuraDeck matting is manufactured from a specially formulated HDPE blend that is both extraordinarily strong and flexible enough to prevent breakage. Recycled content material is carefully screened for quality and uniformity and is blended together with virgin (new) materials to provide the environmental benefits of recycled material with the strength of virgin materials.
Each DuraDeck section contains a UV (Ultra-Violet) protection package that prevents fading and material breakdown in the sunlight. This additive is blended into the material which is used in the manufacture of the DuraDeck, providing the ability to resist the damaging sun rays that are present at most outdoor events.

Each DuraDeck panel has pre-drilled connection holes that allow panels to be connected in both directions and even in a brickwork pattern (for greater support and strength). Users can choose between rigid metal links, for very heavy weight applications, and lighter weight plastic connectors for general use.
Each panel contains 8 connection holes, one in each corner of the mat and 4 in the center of the mat. These connector holes can accommodate Signature’s standard DuraLink and PlastiLink connectors or may be used with stakes, ropes, or other connection options.

We understand that many long-time concert production experts and groundskeepers are familiar with the use of plywood for concert move-ins, grass protection and other in-stadium uses. This makes explaining the benefits of DuraDeck even easier for us.

DuraDeck panels are available in both black and white, depending on the specific needs of each customer. For warmer weather environments or for users that expect to use DuraDeck in sunnier and warmer conditions, Signature recommends white colored panels for greater turf protection.
By staying cooler in the sunlight, White DuraDeck panels help to prevent the drying out and burning of the grass underneath. Darker mats absorb sunlight and can heat up enough to damage turf underneath. We recommend that anything put on turf during sunny, warm days be lighter in color to prevent the effects of “brown out”.

DuraDeck is designed to install quickly and to store compactly. In this regard, each DuraDeck panel weighs 86 lbs and can be transported by two persons. Of course, sections can be transported using a forklift and then simply positioned by personnel directly from pallets. |
